Sukho Khalsa Sr. Sec. School (Govt. Aided Minority), Jail Road, Janakpuri, New Delhi was established in 1956. It is one of the renowned and esteemed institutions owned and managed by DSGMC ,receiving grant in aid from Directorate of Education of Government of NCT of Delhi. The school reached the pinnacle of glory in the fields of education and sports. The school has produced many talented students who occupy various important positions in the country and abroad today. The school is co-educational from classes 1 to 12 with all streams that is Humanities, Commerce and Science. The medium of instruction in school is Hindi, English and Punjabi. Our school has well maintained infrastructure with fire safety equipments. The school has a playground with numerous sports and co-curricular activities.

Our school is affiliated with CBSE and recognised by Directorate of Education ,Government of NCT of Delhi. Our integrated curriculum is taught in a hands-on learning environment where children collaborate in an atmosphere of acceptance, respect and appreciation.

Message from Chairman

At first I welcome all, on behalf of our Management Committee, into our prestigious institution ‘Sukho Khalsa Senior Secondary School (Govt. Aided Minority) Jail road, Janakpuri, New Delhi’ which is a vibrant learning institution that encourages three way partnership between Students, Parents and the Teachers. The strength of that partnership is reflected in the success of our students. More than educating it educares. I always experienced a yearning to acknowledge my responsibilities and reciprocate by contributing to the growth and development of our society as Guru Nanak Dev Ji said “We need to learn for a QUALITY LIFE”.

We live in a society where parents take utmost care of their children for which education is the basis of all progress. The entire purpose of education is not to restrict itself to imparting bookish knowledge only but to inculcate humanitarian values like wisdom, compassion, courage, humility, integrity and reliability in a student which develops confidence to take risks, be innovative and enterprising . We should strive to prepare our children not merely for economic independence and prosperity but also to face life’s challenges with confidence and happiness.

We believe in holistic education of a child encompassing - academics, co-curricular activities, sports and life-skills learning. Message from Principal

I feel very much delighted and privileged that the almighty has blessed me with the opportunity to serve this esteemed institution with the feeling of accomplishment to address as the Principal. Each day, we all the school authorities, staff, parents and students work together to create a supportive and positive environment that establishes a very safe and caring place for teaching and learning.

Our institution always aims and hopes that our dedicated teamwork and focus will enable students to develop skills, attitude, knowledge, strength and values of education that will allow them to participate and foster in our society which contributes to the fast changing and progressing world as Aristotle once said “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”

We are very much fortunate to be able to continue a wide variety of extra curricular activities and sports along with all the three streams (Humanities, Commerce, Science) and producing excellent academic records at Secondary and Senior Secondary level.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank our School Management, dedicated teachers and co-operative parents which blend harmoniously to create a child-centric school. It is natural to find in this ambience the intensive use of a variety of thinking activities, strategies and group dynamics so that the classrooms become alive and I am very sure through collaborative effort, we can achieve more to benefit our students who are the future leaders of tomorrow.
